Dota 2 Layout Editor
Welcome to the Dota 2 Layout Editor. Here you can create a hero layout that can be easily imported to the Dota 2 client. Try dragging and dropping the hero icons above to start out.
The Dota 2 Layout Editor has been designed to be easy to use, while replicating the feel of the Dota 2 client's layout as much as possible. It also has some additional features that the Dota 2 client doesn't for fine control.
Selection and Multiselection
To select a hero icon, simply click on it. If a hero has a green border they are properly selected. When a hero is selected, you will have extra slider controls appear in the Fine Controls box. While a hero is selected, you can use your mousewheel to increase/decrease the scale, and keyboard keys to move the hero around (see Keyboard Controls section below).
You can deselect a hero icon at any time (to regain control of your scrollwheel and keyboard keys) by clicking anywhere on the site besides other hero icons or the Fine Controls box.
You can also select multiple hero icons at once using multiple techniques. You can either drag a highlight box around several heroes, Shift-click to grab multiple heroes, ctrl+click to add a single hero to the selection, or ctrl+drag a highlight box to add several heroes to the current selection.
Exporting and Linking
Once you are happy with your layout, you can either export the layout or generate a link to your layout build to share with other people. Exporting your layout will give you a formatted text file to be placed in the Dota 2 folder (the exact location is given when you press Export), ready to be imported into the Dota 2 Client.
So Valve updated the Loadout Browser today with a new UI. The good news is that it looks great, the bad news is that old loudouts (all of the loadouts saved on this site) are incompatible with the new Loadout Browser.
